Mike Kannenberg started his career as a building operator in commercial real estate. When Mike realized his expertise were in high demand, he started House to Highrise Property Services.
People were looking for technical knowledge combined with the highest quality service, all with one call. Mike knew his family-oriented, customer-driven maintenance and construction company would mean fewer outside contracts and thus more savings and better co-ordination for his customers.
Add in responsive, 24/7 on-call service and a large team of building operators and construction staff, and House to Highrise now had the ability to repair, maintain and renovate buildings while improving tenant satisfaction.
Mike’s skills in commercial real estate include operations management, customer service, facility management (FM), budgeting and negotiation. He has a 5th Class Power Engineering certification from NAIT.
Julian has 12 years of experience in commercial property management and has managed assets including office, retail, industrial parks and multi-family properties. He has represented small local investors, national third-party property management companies, and international real estate investment funds.
He is experienced in building upgrades and renovations, including the successful completion of large capital projects (office HVAC retrofits, roof replacement, structural delamination repairs), turn-key projects for new tenants, and sustainable upgrades to building systems that save energy and provide an cost-effective return on investment.
Julian’s education and credentials include a Bachelor of Science degree, Real Property Administrator Certificate from BOMI International, and he is a fully licensed Broker under the Real Estate Council of Alberta (RECA).
He volunteers on the Board of Directors and Emerging Leaders committee at the
Building Operations and Managers Association (BOMA) of Edmonton, and is an active volunteer within his local community league.
